Function (FOL)

A function symbol is used to specify an individual by means of one or more other individuals. The notation, for an $n$-ary function symbol is:

$$function({\text{term}}_1,...,{\text{term}}_n)$$

Examples:

• $square\_root(17)$ is the square root of $17$.
• $product(19,91)$ is $19\times 91$.
